Laptop won't come on...?

For those of you who use your projector and laptop, remember that sometimes when a projector is attached to your laptop the computer may appear not to start when turned on.  If you will look at the power lights you may find that the computer is in fact on but simply set to projector only.

Solutions:

1.  Get in the habit of starting your laptop without the projector plugged in.

2.  Turn your projector on and reset the graphic options so that the image is on both laptop and projector.

3.  Hold the power button down until the computer goes off.  IMPORTANT!!! -- When restarting, unplug the projector and MAKE SURE THAT WHEN YOU ARE RESTARTING YOUR COMPUTER THAT YOU ARE WATCHING THE SCREEN  and select START COMPUTER NORMALLY.  Otherwise the computer will attempt to repair errors when in fact there are no errors! 

Failure to do this properly will result in a corrupt operating system.  Your computer would have to be re-imaged and you will lose all of your unsaved personal data.  (Saving Personal Data)
