Wengage Grade Book 1st Semester Instructions

Midterm 8:

  • In Session 2, click on = the tab Grades, then Calculate Grades.  Under Grad= ing Period,  = click on RATTAN ELEM Midterm 8.  The beginning assignment date must be the 1st day of school (08/12/2009).  Click <= i>Next. 
  • Include all students, t= hen Next. 
  • All assignments should = be under Selected Assignments (the right hand column).  Cli= ck Calculate Grades.  =
  • You must make sure and = SAVE. 
  • This Midterm 8 grade is= a cumulative grade that determines the exemption status for the studen= ts.

Test 8:

  • After you have started = giving Semester Tests, you will click on the tab Grades, then Cal= culate Grades.  Under Grading Period, click on RATTAN EL= EM Test 8.  (The date will not matter here.)  Click on Force Grade, then Next. 
  • Only select the student= s that take the Semester Test; these students should be in the right hand column and students that did NOT take the Semester Test should be in= the left hand column.  Click Next.
  • Remove all assignments;= then click Calculate Grades.
  • Under Assigned Score= , you will force each student’s Semester Test grade.
  • You must make sure and = SAVE. 

Credit 8:

  • Non-exempt students:
    • Click on the tab Gr= ades, then Calculate Grades.  Under Grading Period, cl= ick on RATTAN ELEM Credit 8.  The assignment dates do not matter, but you must make sure and click Include Previous Grades= .  Click Next. 
    • Only select the studen= ts that took the Semester Test; these students should be in the right = hand column and students that did NOT take the Semester Test should be in the left hand column.  Click Next.
    • Remove all assignments= ; then click Include Grade. =
    • Select RATTAN ELEM = Test 8 and assign % as 25 percent.  Select RATTAN ELEM Midterm 8 and assign % as 75 percent.  The Assignment Percentage box = must have 0 %.   Then click Calculate Grades.
    • You must make sure and= SAVE. 
  • Exempt students:=
    • Click on the tab Gr= ades, then Calculate Grades.  Under Grading Period, cl= ick on RATTAN ELEM Credit 8.  The assignment dates do not matter, but you must make sure and click Include Previous Grades= .  Click Next.
    • Only select the studen= ts that did NOT take the Semester Test; these students should be in the right hand column and students that DID take the Semester Test shou= ld be in the left hand column.  Click Next.
    • Remove all assignments= ; then click Include Grade. =
    • Select RATTAN ELEM Midterm 8 and assign % as 100 percent.  The Assignment Percentage box must have 0 %.  Then click Calculate Grades.
    • You must make sure and= SAVE.
  • “K” or “I” students: - Give students the grade they earned and the HS Office will determine the status after review.
